The Edmonton Election for Mayor, City Councilors and School Board Trustees takes place this October and there are three easy ways to cast your vote!
View Three Opportunities to Vote this Fall for information on ways you can vote.
Please use this online tool to find your voting station (or advanced voting station) in Burnewood.
We would like to know if anyone would be interested in “spearheading” a Community Garden in our neighborhood for next spring (2018). Please connect with us and let us know your ideas…
Where would be a great place to have it? What would be planted? Who would like to be involved?
Please email us here if you are interested in spearheading this initiative, or would like to participate. Please include your name and contact information, as well, as your ideas.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hours of Operation
*The rinks are now closed for the season*
(March 23, 2017)
(There were a pair of skates turned into the Hall. Please connect with our Rink Attendant (firstname.lastname@example.org) to identify/claim. If they are not claimed, they will be donated in the fall)
The season starts in early December (pending completion of flooding of both rinks) and, on average, runs until approximately March (subject to change without notice, courtesy of Mother Nature).
Reminder! Hours of operation below are only in effect once the boarded rink is finished and open (weather permitting).
Monday to Friday: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday and Sunday (and Civic holidays): 12:00pm – 3:45pm / 6:00pm – 9:00pm
*All times are subject to interruption due to weather and ice conditions.
Shinny for all ages is to be played on the boarded rink. Shinny is not permitted on the side rink.
Public skating is shared with overflow (if needed) on the side rink.
When it snows, the rinks are closed until they are both cleared.
-18C, including wind-chill, is City-imposed; however this is always at the discretion of the Rink Attendant.
Skate tags/community memberships are always in effect.
Helmets are recommended for all children. If you choose not to use a helmet, you do so at your own risk.
No playing “POST” during shinny games. This has been our policy for over 20 years. You must score without raising the puck if someone is between you and the net. Generations have learned to play this way and all have embraced it (Burnewood is always doing its part to keep insurance premiums in check).
Rink Attendants must be respectfully obeyed.
Jan 2017 – Special thanks and kind appreciation to Jason Henderson and Dustin Heemeryck for dedicating and donating their time to re-weld our community rink nets!
